Today we will consider what it means to us to be made in the image of God.
The Creator had something powerful in mind when He made you. He created you to be loving, joyful, powerful, creative, wise, just like He is.
My fallen spirit cannot imagine what that might look like. Even more discouraging, I have no idea how to become that again.
But the Creator knows where I am going and how I am going to get there.
Pray, this morning, in thanksgiving, that God’s work is continuing in you.
Philippians 1:6 (NIrV): 6I am sure that the One who began a good work in you will carry it on until it is completed. That will be on the day Christ Jesus returns.
Adopt an attitude of trust, that the Father is leading you into that life of joy He has designed for you. Let go of any resistance.
Be aware today of the people around you who are also made in God’s image. Perhaps they are not aware of it. Perhaps they are resisting and rebelling. As the Spirit points out people to you, whisper short prayers for them.
Ask the Father to examine your own heart this evening. Are you resting in the Creator’s plan to bring out the image of God in you? Or is your heart resisting in some way, keeping control of a piece of life that you choose to handle yourself?
You are becoming full, in the image of God.
