We Begin at the Beginning

When God The Father began to communicate His story to mankind, He began at the beginning.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth… And God said ‘Let there be light… God saw that the light was good.

Genesis 1

We begin with the creator and His creation. Our entire understanding of who God is, and who we are is based in the foundation of God as creator.

Powerful Enough For ...

We learn that He is powerful enough to create stars and suns and planets and mountains and oceans.  We learn that He is detailed enough to create jellyfish and carpenter ants.

The more our scientists tell us about how complex this really is, how interrelated and connected, the more we see God as the brilliant artist. We celebrate the artist designing the smallest chemical process in the tiniest bug, as well as the huge intercontinental plates that collide into each other in exquisitely slow motion, driving mountains high into the air.

Chaos Does Not Rule Here

We must deny the atheist’s claim that natural forces randomly banged together on the pool table of the universe and somehow created the perfect shapes of our planet. You and I both know that random movement creates randomness, not order. The second law of thermodynamics, the law of entropy, says that over time, organized things dissolve into chaos.

Chaos is not the universe we see. Chaos is not the universe I live in.

It is essential that we embed in our minds and hearts the truth of God the Creator.

We Start with HE CAN

If we see God as the Creator, we can also see the God of Power, and the God of attention to detail. It is the beginning of faith to believe that God CAN do anything He wants to do.

This does not mean that He WILL do what we want Him to do.  That is a different question.

But lets start with believing that He CAN.
