We Are What We Believe
If your teacher keeps telling you that math is hard and you are dumb, would you keep trying to learn it?
If your mother reminds you again and again that you are a Plain Jane, would you compete in a beauty contest?

You Can Find Truth, If You Are Willing to Believe It
So where do we find truth? God has been speaking the truth into our world since the creation. He demonstrates truth in the earth he created. He details it explicitly in his written word. And then He sent Jesus to walk among us and live a life of truth.
Even now, God speaks truth. His Spirit flows around us and in us, teaching us, if we are willing to listen.
And that is the bottom line. God the Father will not force His Truth on you, any more than He forces His love on you. You choose to receive it by seeking it.
How do we do that? We ask Him questions and seek His answers. Who is He? What does He want? Why did He create us?
